Dress – Dress Barn (2008) – it came with a cheap belt, which promptly de-laminated
Belt – Target, bought on clearance, 2009
Scarf – Burlington Coat Factory (2007)
Tights – No Nonsense, $4.99 (yesterday)
Boots – White Mountain, from Macy’s (2010)
Bracelet – Good Deed Beads, a gift from my friend Rebecca, 2010. The beads are purple, my favorite color!
This is about the shortest I could go in a dress or skirt and still feel modest. I never wear this dress without tights or leggings because it feels a little naked, especially because if the walking slit in the back. I know that some people feel comfortable and look modest in skirts shorter than this, but I have to do what feels right for me.
We’re still looking for the appropriate place to take pictures in our house. I have some ideas for next week. We can’t try it today, because I’m already in my sweatpants.
Go to Fine Linen and Purple to see what other bloggers wore Sunday!
I totally agree about the tights; I am the same way. You look so polished in your little purple number
Thanks!
Very put together and looking polished and lovely. Have you tried outside? I take my pictures outside if I can .. it’s freezing a lot of times though.
We haven’t tried outside simply because it’s so cold!
I love that color! The dress looks super comfy too.
It is pretty comfy, but it’s a little short waisted for me, so it can get uncomfortable if I wear it for too long.
I.LOVE.THE.COLOR.
I need to add some of this beautiful shade of purple to me wardrobe. You look great!
Thank you!
That purple’s a great color for you!
Thanks. I like it!

You look very nice!
That dress is perfect on your figure. You look gorgeous!
Thanks. I always feel a little bit hippy in this dress. I guess it looks ok.
That is such a great color for you! I love the volume of the scarf; very pretty.
Thanks!
I hear you I feel naked with bare legs under a skirt and rarely go much above the knee just feel so uncomfortable! I love purple too, that dress is a great color!
Dress Barn has such great and classy dresses – and I love the scarf you put with it! Great outfit!
Thanks. I just wish the Dress Barn where I bought this dress hadn’t closed.
That dress really emphasizes your figure, and I mean that in the best of ways! Also, I’m totally jealous of that giant window.
Thanks. And don’t be jealous. We have big windows, but they are super leaky and drafty, they don’t open, and we can’t afford to replace them.
