Seven Quick Takes

I’ve had a rough week, but I don’t want to let it get me down. So, here are seven things that cheered me up this week:

— 1 —

I definitely look pregnant now.

22 weeks

— 2 —

Ice cream.

— 3 —

My sweet husband.

People are so generous! I just realized yesterday that although I have a pretty full wardrobe, I have only bought one maternity top. All my other maternity clothes have been given or lent to me. In addition, I have been told I won’t have to buy any baby clothes; I have two cribs, a swing, a baby rocker, a Bumbo seat, car seats, a tandem stroller… I’m very blessed.

Even when I cook something that I don’t care for, Brett posts a photo of it on Facebook. I made liver and onions on Wednesday and it appeared on Facebook quite quickly. I ate it, even though it is so yucky, but Brett loved it.

God is in control, even when I feel like I’m falling and going to crash.

  1. Love the picture! Can’t believe all the baby things you have – Wow! You are such a good wife – no way would I be making liver and onions. Love you!

    • I’m surprised he has ever even eaten liver and onions… I wouldn’t have made it if he didn’t tell me that he liked it.

  2. OMG, how did you survive making liver & onions. Praying for a better week for you ! Congrats on all the free baby swag, that’s awesome!!

    • I guess I’ve gotten used to making liver and onions… and I don’t have much nausea anymore, so I haven’t had any trouble cooking any thing for the past few weeks.

    • My husband has been gaining weight… he eats a snack pretty soon after dinner and then has ice cream with me later 😉

  3. I realize everyone’s posted this already, but it bears repeating!

You look adorable! 🙂 Yay for pregnant bellies! And good on you for recognizing how blessed you are for having family and friends supporting you via maternity clothes and baby items. I love seeing folks work together with such joy in support of a new life. May all of you be blessed!

    • Thank you! I’m even bigger now… but I haven’t taken any pictures this week. I am very blessed. It’s good to know that people out there really do help each other.
